Upgrading from Fedora 9 to Fedora 10

Fedora 10 includes a few improvements the kids have been asking for, most notably web cam support. I used to be a big proponent of doing a fresh install instead of an upgrade.  Upgrades have never worked out well in the past.  This time I’ve been told the tool preupgrade works well… soI gave it a shot.

So far the only issue I’ve had is a problem with the default mirror it chose.

I was unable to have it grab the install image from fedora.secsop.org.  None of the normal methods of changing repositorys worked, so I took the easy route out.   I edited my /etc/hosts file pointing  fedora.secsop.org to mirror.kernel.org’s IP.

Worked like a charm.
